Tinkerbell is not homeless anymore

Tinkerbell is a wonderful dog who came to Destiny for Dogs as a stray.  She has now found her forever family and will not stray anymore.

Sylvi now known as Greta

IMG_0323Greta’s foster family loved her so much that she will be living with them forever.  As you can see she fits right in with the rest of her canine family.  Can you guess who is the new addition…she is the black Min Pin.Greta aka Sylvi Happily Ever After

Teddy – Foster Forever

My first foster mom missed me so much she came back for me and now has adopted me.  I love her so much and I now have a full time canine sibling where we spend most of the day with our mommy while she works.

When Destiny for Dogs delivered me to my new home there were many tears as everyone loved me and I was hard to give up.

I just want to say to JoAnn Goodrich of Destiny for Dogs…I LOVE YOU!!

Sweetie is now a “Diva”

Sweetie – Now known as “Diva” finally found her loving forever home. It was love at first sight for Hector, Jim and Sweetie. We are wishing all “Happy Days Ahead!”

Roxy is Awesome!

After being given away, abandoned, returned by one foster, returned by adopter, Roxy has finally found her forever family.  Roxy had issues with separation anxiety so she was returned by her first foster family and returned by her first adopter.  After Roxy was placed in foster care again it was realized that Roxy simply had been crate trained in the past and once she had a crate she no longer had separation anxiety.  Her foster family loved her so much they have decided to keep her.  Hooray for Roxy as she is such a loving and absolutely adorable girl.

Bailey wishes Destiny a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from Bailey.  Bailey was one of the many successful adoptions who is living “Happily Ever After”.

Thank you all for Willie’s Adventure

Willie was rescued from a high kill shelter in Alabama.  1-800-PetMeds posted Willie on their web site and immediately we started to get applications to adopt Willie.  Rob and Gina Morgan fostered Willie until transportation could be found to bring Willie to South Florida to meet his new family, Denise and Pete.  Craig and Cathi Harp are truck drivers who travel all over the country with their two dogs and Willie was able to hitch a ride.  Craig and Cathi arrived in the middle of the night where SoHo Dogs, Mary Jo Meyer met them and then took Willie to his new owner.  The photos are Willie traveling with his canine friends, Willie arriving and Craig gives Willie to Destiny for Dogs and finally Willie meets his new mom Denise.  This was a truly amazing adventure but as you can see people from all over came together to help this angel.  Thank you all ♥ ♥ ♥

Sam is Home!

Sam is a Parsons Russell Terrier puppy.  Sam is now happy with his new dad and canine sibling.  He lives a life of pure freedom and love and will have a long and happy life.  Here is Sam exhausted after a day of playing with his new sister.

I’ll Take Two Please!!

This is Bella and Betsy.  How could you resist wanting to take these angels home?  Well, Ron and Allyse could not resist and adopted them both.  We are so grateful to have Ron and Allyse in the business of rescuing and not puppy shopping.  These two angels have been added to this wonderful family.

Levi – Young and Loving

Levi was found on the street by a few cyclists a few months ago. A police officer made the cyclists hand him over and he went to animal control. Before Levi was going to be euthanized due to lack of space, his cycling rescuers pulled him from the shelter.

We need a foster/adopter for this cutie. He was very shy when we first got him but he’s full of puppy life now! He’s about a year-old with sparkling white teeth, neutered, vaccinated and enjoying being free! He’s so eager to please so training him is a breeze. He gets along with EVERYONE! Loves other dogs and all people, including kids.

Please read a fantastic article written about him from one of his new friends, http://www.examiner.com/article/one-dog-s-journey-out-of-the-jaws-of-death.

For Levi, please contact Animal Matters with ANY help you can provide: www.AnimalMattersOnline.org, info@AnimalMattersOnline.org and /or 561-306-5192.

Halle needs you

My name is Halle and I am about 3 years old.  I am living with a foster family and they say that I am sweet, I get along with all the other dogs and I would be wonderful with a family with kids.  I need a little leash training but I have been doing good with my training here at my foster home.  I very much want a home I can call my own.  If you can consider me please contact Jo at info@sohodogs.org or call Jo at 561-201-2310.  Destiny for Dogs is posting Halle as a courtesy for another rescue organization.

Allie is ready to move

My name is Allie and I am about 3 years old.  I am currently living with my foster family and they say that I am sweet, loyal, well trained, loves to play and be with other dogs and I am eager to please.  Because I am big I may not be good with small children but I would definately be OK with older kids.  If you can open your heart and give me a forever home please contact Jo at info@sohodogs.org or call her at 561-201-2310.  Destiny for Dogs is posting this dog as a courtesy for another rescue organization.

Lucy, Family Dog

My name is Lucy and I am about 5 years old.  I am living in a foster home right now but I would love to have a family of my own.  My foster family says that I am very sweet, loving, quiet, gentle and would do well with a family with kids.  I get along with other dogs as I am currently living with many dogs.  If you would like a gentle companion please contact Jo at info@sohodogs.org or call her at 561-201-2310.  Destiny for Dogs is crossposting this dog for another rescue organization

Lola – Love at first sight!

Lola is a Wheaton Schnauzer Mix that was on her way to the shelter until Destiny for Dogs intervened.  Lola is now with her new forever home and all is good!

Cricket – No Longer Living on the Streets

My name is Cricket and I am a 7 year old male Westie/Papillon mix?.  I was found living on the streets in the city but now I have found my forever family and will never be homeless again.  Thank you Destiny for Dogs for making my dreams come true.

Beauregard Flies to new home

Meet Beauregard a male Schnauzer, 10 years old, 18 lbs.  Poor little guy only sees shadows however gets around really well.  Beau was adopted by a wonderful family  in South Carolina.  Destiny for Dogs flew Beau to his new home and delivered this angel in person.

Wonderful Therapy Angels

Please meet Corky and Misty.  Both these angels were injured when they were mistreated by children.  They are now the poster dogs for educating parents on how to handle children with small dogs.  Both these angels are also used as therapy dogs by visiting the elderly at nursing homes.

I know, I’m not a DOG!!

I have been adopted and living in my forever home.

Leo – Bichon Frise

Leo is a 7 year old 12 pound Bischon Frise.  Leo was placed with a foster family and they loved him so much he is now going to live with them forever

Molly is Home…forever!

Molly is a Westie mix who has found the perfect home with her foster family.  Molly developed some urinary problems after her spay surgery and her original adopter returned her.  She then was returned from another potential home for the same issue.  We began to worry for this adorable active little girl.  When her foster family met her, they fell in love, and have learned how to manage her “issues” and is allowing her to live happily ever after with their wire-haired Chihuahua (Taco), and lately a new addition of a tiny boy Chi, (Yogi). They have bonded well, and Molly is guaranteed a forever home. This family adopts for LIFE, no question.

Lupi’s Story is Awesome

Lupi is a teacup Chi who was seen on several occasions along the railroad track behind some warehouses in West Palm Beach.  Many attempts were made to rescue her, but she was too frightened.  After a long search, and then ten days of offering food and water, we withheld food for a day and then set a humane trap. We had our girl in a few hours! Lupi is the feminine form of the Spanish word for “wolf”.  This poor girl lived like wild dog, right here in the middle of the city!  The first picture is her in her hiding place where she was found, the next is her capture and the final photo is her loving her foster family so much she decided to stay and they decided to keep her.  She has truly found her Destiny!

Jackson – Lost Pittie Mix Puppy needs a home

Meet Jackson a PitBull / Boxer mix?  He is still a puppy.  He was found wondering in a neighborhood and may have been dropped off or stolen   We have been unable to find the owner.  Unfortunately, the person who found this angel cannot keep him because they already have two large dogs.  He is great with dogs so he would be good with any other dog and maybe a cat since he is so young.  He is house broken and does not mind being in a crate.  He loves running and playing and so far hasn’t chewed anything in the house.  He can sit, stay, lay down and absolutely understands the word NO!!  He shares food bowls and water bowls with other dogs with no problem.   He does not cry or whine.  He needs a good loving companion or family to give all the love he has and we know he has a lot to give.  Remember, he is a puppy so he will need someone who can be patient and train him.  We don’t know much about this puppy such as vaccinations, and pet medicines, etc.  This is a courtesy posting for the person who found this dog.  If you are interested please e-mail melody@destinyfordogs.com
