Baby is Loved

Baby and Candy 04Baby is a Maltese that was living under extreme hoarding conditions all while he had dental disease, heart infection and was blind.  His former owner never provided any vet care.  When Baby was rescued he was not allowed to go outside and go potty so he had no choice but to do his business inside this home.  He has been in foster care since January 2013.  His owner has passed away in April 2013 and now was able to be moved into his forever home where he is getting the special care he needs.  We are so happy Baby is going to be loved and live like a normal dog with his new caretaker.

Lucy is a forever foster

Happily Ever AfterLucy is a 13 year old Dachshund that was rescued after Hurricane Katrina.  Lucy’s owner for the past three years has taken ill and is unable to take care of her.  Lucy is going to be staying with her foster family…forever.  We are so happy for Lucy who will now live the rest of her life knowing happiness.

Teddy – Foster Forever

My first foster mom missed me so much she came back for me and now has adopted me.  I love her so much and I now have a full time canine sibling where we spend most of the day with our mommy while she works.

When Destiny for Dogs delivered me to my new home there were many tears as everyone loved me and I was hard to give up.

I just want to say to JoAnn Goodrich of Destiny for Dogs…I LOVE YOU!!

Roxy is Awesome!

After being given away, abandoned, returned by one foster, returned by adopter, Roxy has finally found her forever family.  Roxy had issues with separation anxiety so she was returned by her first foster family and returned by her first adopter.  After Roxy was placed in foster care again it was realized that Roxy simply had been crate trained in the past and once she had a crate she no longer had separation anxiety.  Her foster family loved her so much they have decided to keep her.  Hooray for Roxy as she is such a loving and absolutely adorable girl.

Molly is Home…forever!

Molly is a Westie mix who has found the perfect home with her foster family.  Molly developed some urinary problems after her spay surgery and her original adopter returned her.  She then was returned from another potential home for the same issue.  We began to worry for this adorable active little girl.  When her foster family met her, they fell in love, and have learned how to manage her “issues” and is allowing her to live happily ever after with their wire-haired Chihuahua (Taco), and lately a new addition of a tiny boy Chi, (Yogi). They have bonded well, and Molly is guaranteed a forever home. This family adopts for LIFE, no question.

Lupi’s Story is Awesome

Lupi is a teacup Chi who was seen on several occasions along the railroad track behind some warehouses in West Palm Beach.  Many attempts were made to rescue her, but she was too frightened.  After a long search, and then ten days of offering food and water, we withheld food for a day and then set a humane trap. We had our girl in a few hours! Lupi is the feminine form of the Spanish word for “wolf”.  This poor girl lived like wild dog, right here in the middle of the city!  The first picture is her in her hiding place where she was found, the next is her capture and the final photo is her loving her foster family so much she decided to stay and they decided to keep her.  She has truly found her Destiny!
