FranceeUntil We Meet Again You Will Always Be In Our Hearts

See you later our little angel girl.  Know that you were loved dearly by mommy and daddy.  You had 17 wonderful years of life and gave so much happiness to so many and placed smiles on their faces.  Only 3-1/2 pounds, however you were the alpha dog in the “Goodrich Household.”  You were never afraid of anything, not even Guida (Blue & Gold Macaw) who chased you around the house.  You always stood up for yourself unlike your big brothers and sisters who ran away from Guida.  Your quirky little walk, that sweet little face and those beautiful eyes.

A piece of our hearts went with you last Sunday (1-31-16) night when we let you go.  Dr. Bennett was very gentle and kind.  I asked you to look into my eyes, to trust me and I told you that you would soon no longer be in pain and know you were loved.  I know you felt surrounded by love.  I held you and kissed you and told you it would be OK to go.  Dr. Bennett made sure you were comfortable until you were at peace.

After you left us I held you until it was time to say “Good Bye” to your earth body.  We will scatter your ashes with your other sisters and brothers.

You are once again happy, healthy and whole.  You will remain in our hearts until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.  We love and miss you.

Daddy, Mommy, Morgan, Monk, Guida, Sophie, Ginger and Abby.

Good Bye Bailey

Rainbow Bridge 06

image1Bailey, a loving senior Maltipoo was truly loved by his family. However, his mom became sick and could no longer care for him so Bailey was surrendered to Destiny for Dogs.

Bailey’s Foster Mom, Holly took great care of him and decided to become a “Foster Failure.”  Sadly, Bailey stopped eating for a few days and couldn’t walk. He went peacefully at home with his mom holding him, thanks to Dr. Abbott. Rest in peace angel boy, run free at Rainbow Bridge where you are now, happy, healthy and whole.

Until we meet again, always in our hearts.

Rosie

Happily Ever After1My name is Rosie.  I am an 8 year old Lhasa Apso.  My last mom could no longer take care of me because she is 90 years old and had to go to a rehabilitation center and is not well.  My human sister is allergic to me.  Joann from Destiny for Dogs was contacted and she called a lady she knew was searching for a new love.  The lady was searching for a dog under 10 pounds so she could have a travel partner.  I am 14 pounds but when she heard my story and then met me, she knew size didn’t matter.  It was a match made in Heaven and love at first sight.  My new mom is the widow of a NYC Police Officer, and my human brothers are NYC Police Officers.  My human brother-in-law was a NYS trooper.  It was meant to be.
