Murphy is about 15 months old and weighs about 20 lbs.  His tongue hangs out to the side all the time but it does not affect any part of his life.

Murphy has gone to his forever home in Virginia.

Look how happy our little Chelsea looks.  Chelsea is just one of our rescue successes.  After so much pain with urinary tract infections and stones while in the care of someone who did not treat her, she received treatment through her rescue and now is living happily ever after.

Winston was adopted over a year ago and is still living the dream with his mommy!!

After my owner passed away and I was alone for 2 months I never thought I would find a family of my own.  With Destiny for Dog’s help, I am now living the dream of being with a new family.  I am so happy.

This is Bandit.  Bandit was adopted quite some time ago and he is still living happily ever after.  These pictures were sent to us by his proud mama.

Annie has found her forever home and will never be homeless again.  Thank you to Chris and Tracy Goodhue for opening their hearts and their home to this sweet angel.  She has a new birthday of March 20 as this was the day she started her new life.

Meet Lila.  Lila was dumped in the road with two other dogs.  A good samaritan scooped up this little girl and contacted Destiny for Dogs where she was immediately taken to the vet where she had such a bad ear infection that pus was coming out of them.  She then had to be taken to the groomer where she had to be completely shaved because of the severe matting, fleas had to be killed and washed away, and toenails clipped.  Lila still had milk in her breast and appears to have been a puppy mill dog.  A lovely woman heard about Lila and took her in and has now made her a part of her life and tells us that she feels blessed to have found this sweet angel.  We would like to thank all those who helped this sweet angel:

Now this is the life of a rescue dog living happily ever after.  Greta is so happy and fits in well with her new family.

Mina has found her forever home.  Mina was found taking care of herself and now she will be well cared for with her new family.

This is why rescue dogs are the best.  Look at our Roxy girl who was once abandoned by her owners when they moved and left her with a bowl of food and water and she was not discovered for a few weeks when someone heard her crying.  It took her a few months but look at her now.  She is deserving of this wonderful life she now lives.♥♥♥

Abby is still living happily ever after with her adopted family.  This is proof that rescue dogs make the greatest companions.

After rescuing “Cutie” she found her new daddy only after a few days.  Another happy ending.

This is Diva with her forever family.  We are so happy that one of our rescue babies gets to live the life of a true “Diva” hence her new name.

Look how happy Beauregard is with his new mommy and sister.  We love happy endings.

Meet Quincey and his new family.  Clark and Sawyer are in love with their new little doggie.  We are so happy that they all have found each other.  Thank you Todd and Kelli for allowing Quincey to become a part of your special family.

Tinkerbell is a wonderful dog who came to Destiny for Dogs as a stray.  She has now found her forever family and will not stray anymore.

One major highlight this year was the adoption of our crazy but cute dog Josey.  In a split second and before we knew it we had a new family member….only to realize that it was just like having a new toddler at home, who required a ton of work and attention.  At times I didn’t know if him stealing my socks and underwear was cute or would drive me insane. Whether him barking up a storm every time someone comes to the door made me feel safe or like losing my mind.  Since the beginning weeks though, he has calmed down quite a bit. When we got him we were told he had been tied to a tree for 6 months prior.  I think he feels secure now and knows he is loved. Plus, he earned major carma points and, “ok fine we are keeping you” points, when he saved not one animal but two from drowning in our canal behind our house by barking and barking till Chris and I finally checked on what was going on and saw those two poor little creatures on separate occasions.  Both animals, one giant beautiful cat and one small pug dog survived and are doing well – and Josey is our new, slightly crazy, hero.
