“We are so grateful to Destiny for Dogs.  Special thanks to JoAnn and Rona for bringing Logan into our lives.  Our hearts were broken after losing both our beloved fur babies within seventeen months.  Logan is our first boy! He is gentle and lovable and has fit right in like he’s been here forever.
Logan is doing great and getting more expressive every day.  He is going on his first official family road trip to South Georgia. And every day is take your dog to work day around here! He is a gem. Our hearts are filled with gratitude.

Logan’s new mom, Mary also sent this personal message Foster Mom, Rona Sakson:

“Rona, Logan had a full day and is conked out waiting for Dr Hart to arrive to meet and greet.  He is doing really good.  Thank you for taking such good care of him and helping him to become his best.  He is adorable and we love him. From the bottom of our hearts we are grateful to you.  I know it was hard to have him go and I understand why. Thank you. 💗”

Logan’s Backstory:
Logan was rescued by the Grand Bahamas Humane Society. He lived his entire life outside. Destiny for Dogs was happy to take Logan and Simba (both heartworm positive) under rescue. Simba’s “quick kill” treatment was a success and Logan is still undergoing the slow kill. Simba was adopted immediately and is doing great. Sadly, Logan was adopted and returned as his new owner became ill.

Thank You Lynda Poggie Carlson for transporting Logan & Simba from the airport to Animal Clinic at Wellington Reserve. Thank you to Dr. Linda Abbott, Lynn Mcgrew and Staff for taking such great care of Logan and Simba during their treatment. And “Special” to Foster Mom, Rona for taking such extraordinary care of Logan, which truly took time, dedication, patience and unconditional love.💗

Dear Trudy Downes and Angel Volunteers:

Logan was rescued by the Humane Society of the Grand Bahamas. He lived his life outside and was heartworm positive. Logan has hit the doggie lottery and will have the life that he so deserves.

She is such a special dog, truly my little partner in crime. I’m so thankful for her! She’s so unique she is the topic of conversation everywhere she goes. And I’m not kidding when I say every person at the horse shows asks about her every week 😁 a fan favourite! 

Zola will be 3 years old this Halloween 🎃”

Thank you to Dr. Abbott, Lynn Mcgrew and Staff for all that you did medically (spay, dental, growth removals, biopsies, medication, bloodwork and aftercare) to start Luna on the road to recovery💗

A “SPECIAL” Thank You to Luna’s Foster Mom, Amanda Lawrence for working your magic, providing extraordinary care physically and emotionally to your precious foster girl. Plus finding Luna the perfect new mom and loving forever home. No words to express our appreciation💗

“♥️I am in love with Luna and she’s in love with me.  She slept through the night in her bed in my bedroom. When I woke up she had moved the bed closer to my bed. I just lost it♥️  Luna follows me around already. I am obsessed with her.
JoAnn, I couldn’t love her more. I just couldn’t. She’s just so delicious. I can’t stop kissing her and she loves it. Luna grunts and looks at me like I’m her mommy.♥️ If this is day one, can you imagine how happy we’re all going to be in the years to come? Luna says “good morning.” She had her walkie, breakfast and face squish cleaning. She’s just a treasure.♥️”

Luna will now be loved, nurtured, and provided everything that she so deserves.  Now a beloved family member, not a money maker. Luna will only experience love and “Happy Days Ahead!”💗

“JoAnn, I’m forwarding to you a webpage from a local camera store that runs a weekly contest. This past week the theme was dogs. There’s a long story behind these photos and how they ended up as winners in the contest. Briefly, I took the black and white photo of King on my front porch. The color photo was taken by a neighbor while I was walking King near the neighbor’s home – that’s my leg and foot in the photo. I didn’t know at the time that the photo was taken – telephoto lens. But the combination of the two photos has led to King’s being crowned by the camera store as “King of Warrenton.”

King is now a “Superstar” and Crowned, “King of Warrenton.” Such a precious and deserving senior guy. King had a rough life until Jim drove from Virginia to Florida a few years ago to adopt and provide an extraordinary loving forever home.

“Seven years ago, my guy, Frankie. And my other rescue girl, RZ.
RZ had such a tough life, and all she wanted to be was somebody’s pet, and bed dog. 7 years of trying to get pups from her, including artificial insemination. Her litter sister, now a national champion, endured the same fate.” Thankfully, Frankie and RZ were rescued, fostered an adopted by their amazing foster mom, Barbara. They are so loved, nurtured and will never want for anything.
