From King’s dad: ‘Twas a year ago today that King began his journey to Virginia. He’s wearing his winter coat in the photo on the left; his spring attire – including bandana – on the right. An ophthalmologist has been treating his dry eye and since January his coat has improved dramatically thanks to a change in food to My Perfect Pet. King would say he was “The King” before I ever showed up. But most days he wants to spend at least 30 minutes in my lap.’

This handsome guy hit the lottery with his extraordinary forever home🐾💕

Special Thank You to Cynthia Clements for trapping Scruffy after she was running lose for 4 months. Thank you for arriving at the Amelia  Earhart Park with freshly cooked bacon at 5am to trap Scruffy! Also, many thanks to Officer Juan for feeding and watching over Scruffy to ensure her safety.  This was total dedication and team work to make this happen. There are not enough words to express our appreciation to Cynthia, Juan, and others who assisted. Thanks to all, this special angel is living the life she so deserved🌹

Scruffy now LuLu is adored by her new mom. She is now fully vetted, happy, healthy, and has a personal trainer. LuLu’s beautiful hair is growing back after being totally shaved down from her entire body being matted. 

We will continue to provide updates as LuLu’s hair grows all the way in and her progress with personal trainer, Jennifer Bielen.

Louie has been adopted and in his loving forever home. This amazing couple adopted Louie, a senior dog with Cushing’s Disease. Louie’s parents who are truly the definition of “Rescue Angels” said “Louie is doing great and we love him very much.”💗

♥️“Ruby is such a love. I’m so grateful to Destiny for Dogs for bringing us together, and thank you for saving her.”♥️

Ruby the senior pom whose dad could no longer care for her. He took Ruby to Peggy Adams who could not intake her. Someone posted a photo of Ruby and her owner with a comment. Michelle Martin saw the post and immediately contacted Ruby’s owner to say she would foster. It was a long process to get Ruby healthy, plus she needed to be vetted, spayed and a much needed dental. Poor Ruby girl also had a high level hear murmur. Dr. Linda Abbott, Animal Clinic at Wellington Reserve ran tests and placed Ruby on three heart meds to relieve her discomfort.

Michelle loved and nurtured to get Ruby where she needed to be health wise and emotionally. It took months before Ruby could receive vaccines plus even longer to spay and have dental. Thanks to Dr. Abbott, staff and Michelle, this special little girl was able to have a second chance at life in a new loving forever home with her extraordinary new mom.

“We are thankful every day for our sweet and precious Daisy … and Shadow is very happy to have such a tolerant sister. Wherever Daisy goes Shadow isn’t far behind. JoJo now Mochilo has been through so much. All is behind this handsome six year old, 82lbs gentle giant. It was love at first sight for Mochilo’s new mom who drove all the way with her kitty, Joggy from Massachusetts to Florida to meet and fall in love with him.

Mochilo, Joggy and Mom took their time getting to know each other prior to leaving Florida for their long road trip north. Now in his new home safe and sound enjoying the cool weather and the unconditional love of his mom and Joggy. We just ordered a new coat and huge warm comfy bed for our special “Florida” boy (photos to follow).
